In my Healthy Morning Routine post, I shared the perfect morning routine for health, happiness and productivity. However, for people with not much time in the morning, it can be hard to follow an extensive routine.

So, in this post, I’ll be sharing the 5 easiest morning habits that are easy to fit in to a busy morning – even if you pick just one or two of these habits, they’ll make a big difference to your day.

Drink Lemon Water

First thing in the morning, make yourself warm water and lemon. This drink kick starts your digestion for the day, flushes out toxins and can help with weight loss. Just water and lemon juice will have an impact, but you could also add ingredients such as honey or cayenne pepper to feel other health benefits.

Make A Juice Or Smoothie

If you’re someone who finds it hard to make time for breakfast, you could benefit from having a go-to juice or smoothie recipe. They take less than 5 minutes to make, and are jam packed full of fruits and vegetables, so lots of nutritional goodness. You can find my favourite juice recipe in this post here.

Stretch

Finding time to exercise in the morning can be really hard, even though lots of experts recommend getting some movement early in the day. If you don’t have time for a full work out, maybe instead try 5 or 10 minutes of gentle stretching or yoga. This could even be done in your bed, and can help get your body ready for the day.

Affirmations

I’ve written about the benefits of affirmations in a LOT of posts. The great thing about them is that they can change your mindset FAST but you can also practise them anywhere. This means that you can practise them while you put makeup on, or driving to work if you’re short on time. Read my list of 30 favourite affirmations here.

Listen To An Audiobook Or Podcast

Listening to a motivational audiobook or podcast in the morning is a great way to start your day, especially if you need some inspiration or want to have a super productive day. You can listen to them everywhere, so pop one on when you’re getting ready or having breakfast.

I hope you found this post useful, and here’s to more productive mornings!

Lots of love,

Natalie
