It’s that time of year again – the smell of mulled wine filling your nose, the crunching of ice under your feet…and the last minute rush to buy gifts.  We’ve all been there – when you have no idea what to buy for someone, and it gets to Christmas Eve and you end up buying a random gift (probably the last bath set on the shelf) that you’re not even sure that they’ll like.  Well this year, I’m here to give you six self care themed holiday gift ideas that are unique, meaningful and affordable, that your loved one will be thrilled to receive!  All the gifts mentioned will be linked at the end.

  1.  Essential Oil Diffuser

Oil diffusers have become very popular in the last year, and it’s easy to see why – they are a unique talking point in a room, look great around the home and make your home smell amazing!  Not only that, but they also purify the air in your home, and, depending on which oils you use, can help to relax, energise, uplift you, as well as help sinuses and allergies!

  2.  Affirmation Cards

Affirmation cards are a fun addition to your daily routine, and can help inspire, motivate and reassure you whenever you feel the need for some guidance.  Beautifully designed and including lovely messages, this is a really thoughtful and unique present to give.  My favourites are Gabrielle Bernstein’s ‘The Universe Has Your Back’ deck, and Louise Hay’s ‘Power Thought’ cards.

3.  Himalayan Pink Salt Lamp

Pink salt lamps are another new addition to many people’s holiday list this year, and they have become very trendy over the last 12 months.  They make another unique talking point and look amazing in any room of your home.  Aside from looking good, they have multiple health benefits, including boosting blood flow, relieving asthma and allergies, increase serotonin and the cosy pink light improves sleep!

4.  Candles

I find it hard to believe that anyone would turn up their nose at receiving a candle for Christmas!  Whatever scent, colour, or size that you prefer, there is a candle for everyone.  Giving a lovely smelling, special candle will always be appreciated by whoever you give it to.  My favourite candle brand are DW Home as they have a wide variety of scents and holders, and they really last.

5.  Notebook

Notebooks are another staple holiday gift – they are practical, useful, and you can pick a beautiful design for any kind of person.  Look around for unique and inspiring notebooks, diaries and even bullet journals – my favourite places to look are TK Maxx and Homesense, as they always have a wide variety of notebooks and journals that I would never find anywhere else!

6.  Books

There really is a book for everyone – whatever personality, interests and reading level, there is such a wide variety of books to choose fro to give to your loved ones.  Whether it be a cosy women’s fiction, a gripping thriller, a non fiction autobiography or an inspirational self help read, your friends and family will appreciate you thinking of them when you pick out a book for them to get stuck into.

So that’s my Self Care Christmas Gift Guide! I hope it’s given you some inspiration and do tell me if you pick any of my ideas as gifts!  Comment down below your favourite idea.
