We all want to live our best lives, but it can be difficult to know where to start. Well, the truth is, there is no one big secret key to begin your best life. It’s the product of lots of little changes that you can make in your life, which eventually will greatly improve your life. In this post, I’ll be giving you 50 small things that you can start doing TODAY to live your best life in 2019 and beyond! Even by doing just a couple of these things, you’ll see AMAZING changes.

  1. Declutter (read my post on the KonMari method here!)
  2. Fix all the broken things around your home (that you’ve probably been putting off forever!)
  3. Start every day by writing a gratitude list.
  4. Do one thing you truly enjoy everyday.
  5. Start a journal.
  6. Laugh at least once a day.
  7. Read a few pages of a book each day. Here are some of my faves.
  8. Learn at least one new thing a day.
  9. Try to keep complaining to a minimum.
  10. Aim to wake up a minute earlier everyday.
  11. Start the day with some gentle stretching.
  12. Practice positive affirmations, like these.
  13. Create a budget for yourself (and stick to it.)
  14. Put a little money away each week.
  15. Only buy things you truly need.
  16. Work on a side hustle for a little time each day.
  17. Carry a notebook everywhere (to write down ideas on the go.) Here are my favourite ways of planning and writing down ideas.
  18. Identify ways in which you waste time, and aim to cut down.
  19. Plan and prepare your day the night before.
  20. Write out your 3 Most Important Tasks for the day and complete them before 12pm.
  21. Finish your day with a review – what did you do well? Where could you improve?
  22. Keep your space tidy so that mess and clutter accumulate.
  23. Be picky about what you say yes to – only say yes to things that bring you joy.
  24. Make yourself a beautiful breakfast each morning.
  25. Aim to eat at least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables each day.
  26. Try to up your water intake each day up to 2 litres.
  27. Start meal prepping healthy dishes to save you time in the week.
  28. Find an exercise you like an practice it at least 3 times a week.
  29. Practice meditation for at leat 10 minutes a day.
  30. Take a minute to breathe before responding to someone difficult.
  31. Perform a random act of kindness each day.
  32. Abstain from drama and gossip.
  33. Wear similar clothes each day to spend less time deciding what to wear.

  35. Be clear on your goals and create an action plan on how you will achieve them.
  36. Go to sleep one minute earlier each night.
  37. Establish a healthy morning routine.
  38. Be conscious of reading news – sometimes news articles can severely affect your mood.
  39. Spend at least 10 minutes a day out in nature.
  40. Unsubscribe and unfollow any online content you no longer want to see.
  41. Create personal boundaries and stick to them.
  42. See mistakes as opportunities to grow.
  43. Practice really listening to people.
  44. Don’t check your phone for the first half an hour of your day.
  45. Bring nature into your space by investing in some houseplants.
  46. Remember to live in the present moment.
  47. Take a salt bath once a week.

  49. Listen to motivational speeches or podcasts every day.
  50. Speak to yourself as you would your best friend.
